Thank you for choosing to list your space on VibeyVenue. As a host, you play a central role in creating memorable experiences for guests across South Africa. These guidelines exist to ensure that every guest has a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience.
1. Keep Your Listing Accurate
Your listing must accurately describe your space. Photos must be recent and represent the current condition of the venue. Do not advertise amenities that are unavailable. Misleading listings will be removed without notice. Include your correct city, suburb, and province in the location field.
2. Respond Within 24 Hours
Guests expect timely communication. Please respond to all booking enquiries within 24 hours. Hosts with consistent response rates above 90% earn a "Responsive Host" badge on their listing, improving visibility and bookings.
3. Keep Your Calendar Up to Date
Cancellations due to incorrect availability damage guest trust and your hosting rating. Block off dates in your dashboard calendar whenever your space is unavailable. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in account suspension.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
Your venue must comply with all applicable South African health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Swimming pools must be fenced in accordance with the SANS 10134 standard. Fire extinguishers must be present and within service date. Braai facilities must be in good working order.
5. Cleanliness Standards
Your space must be clean and ready for guests at the time of check-in. Provide clean towels and linens where applicable. Guests will rate their experience, and cleanliness is one of the highest-weighted criteria. Sustained low cleanliness ratings (below 3.5 stars) may result in your listing being suspended.
6. Respect Guest Privacy
You may not install recording devices (cameras, microphones) in any indoor or private areas of your venue. Outdoor CCTV for security is permitted but must be disclosed in your listing. VibeyVenue takes guest privacy seriously and any violation will result in immediate account termination.
7. Payouts & Fees
VibeyVenue charges a 2% platform service fee on all confirmed bookings. Payouts are processed via PayFast within 3 business days of a completed booking. You are responsible for declaring all rental income to SARS in accordance with the Income Tax Act, 1962. VibeyVenue will issue annual earnings summaries available from your dashboard.
